Dr. Scott Young is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Optometry. He received post-graduate training in an Ohio State University affiliated Ocular Disease Residency Program and at the University of Cincinnati. He is currently a clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University and is the Residency Coordinator for Ohio Eye Alliance’s Ocular Disease residency program.
He has been a member of the American Optometric Association since 1991. He served on the zone board for seven years and was Zone Governor from 2006-08. Dr. Young has participated in research projects involving glaucoma, cataract, refractive surgery and retinal nerve fiber layer analysis utilizing laser technology. He has presented posters at the EastWest Eye Conference and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has also volunteered his professional skills to people in need in countries such as Brazil and Ecuador.
